Jacksonville Triathlon #2

We took a group of friends down to the beach, but could go only under one stipulation....one member of the coupled HAD to participate in the triathlon. Of the 12 people that went, 9 did the race. This race though was like no other race that we had done down at Amelia, it was super rough seas and very windy. So before race day , we had a few people that were apprehensive about swimming in the ocean for fear of sharks and jellyfish, but once it was race day, it was all about survival. At the lifeguard stand they had red flags up, which means don’t get in because of the rough seas. Oh no, not us, we all got in and finished. SOme faster than others and some sicker than others, but everyone finished in under 2 hours(barely).
