Celie just loves her new chair Beau gave her. She pushes me out of it so she can sit in it. This was such a perfect gift for her, because she had just started to love getting in the boys' chairs and now she has her own.

I asked her to smile for me and this is what I got. She trying so hard that she couldn't even open her eyes. This was the first time she actually sat there and let me take her picture...too cute.

Happy Birthday to Celie....
Well it was more like her 13month birthday, since we were at the beach for her real birthday. She will never know the difference. We planned a small family dinner to celebrate, which she loved being the center of attention. We had a week from hell leading up to this weekend. Celie got sick early in the week and I just thought it was teeth coming in, but it ended up being hand foot and mouth disease. Sounds worse than it is. It's basically sores on your hands and feet and blisters in your mouth, so for a baby it was a nightmare. Nothing would sooth her and I have never felt so helpless. On top of all that she would not take medicine orally, so we had to give it to her thru the other end....fun! Nest Mason came home from Grandma's, who kept the boys while we were dealing with Celie, and that night he puked everywhere while Chris was at a football draft....fun again! So I knew Buie was next just not sure when it would hit. The next day he woke up hot as can be, but thank God his ended up only being a fever. So once we got over all that, I was trying to get work done and the house "ready" for guests and while Chris and I were both out running errands the cupcakes were delivered and left on the front porch. Well before we could get home, our dog Winton ate 10 of 24 cupcakes! I had a bit of a melt down at that point and wanted to crawl into bed and give up, but of course I didn't and had to get on the phone and see who had cupcakes ready at 5 in the afternoon on Saturday. Not easy, but we did it and the party went on without another problem. Thanks to all that helped!

Celie got plenty of help from her brothers and cousins
Even Great Granny was trying to help her smash her cake
She finally got into it
And loved every minute of it

After her bath she opened her gifts with some help from Mason and Buie
She loved her new baby and stroller that Frances and Olivia gave her
Spoiled rotten! Yes this is a sterling spoon in her mouth she got
Now this was the best gift! Her very own girly soccer ball. She already knew what to do. Is it a sign?

Look at my little butterfly....

I got this at the Mt. Bethel consignment sale this weekend. She had fun twirling around in it....how do girls already know how to do that? The wings are a little heavy and keep falling down, but I thought it was cute.
