We went to celebrate my sister in law's birthday last night and Celie went crazy. She hugged Walker(who is 2 months younger than her) all night, which we have never seen her hug anyone and then she was like wrestling him to the ground. She is never around anyone younger than she is that can play with her. Every time she has been around him before, he could crawl or sit up, but now.....things are different! We all had a great time and Mason, Buie, Frances and Olivia played for almost an hour outside in that heat. OMG, they were worn out.

Here's what Mason and Celie were up to today....she wanted to ride his 4-wheeler.
Here's what I was up to today.......my rough and tough Buie picked out this dump truck for me to do for him.....(the dirt is brown fleece)
....and Mason, my sweet, gentle "baby" wanted THIS skull and crossbones on his t-shirt! I guess I can't call him my baby anymore and this makes me a little sad that he picked this and it means he is growing up. I had to tone it down and add some cuteness to it by doing it in orange check seersucker.
And here is a girly sand dollar for sweet Caroline.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

We went to our friends lake house at Lake Nantahala in N.C. I must say, it is the most gorgeous lake I have ever been on. Most of it is National Forest, so it is not very crowded and it is in the mountains, so it's not too hot. Oh, we love it up there. This is the first year that I think the boys really enjoyed it. They did sparklers (and weren't crying), rode jet skies (and wanted to go fast), wanted to take boat rides all day long, swam in the lake, jumped off the dock, went kayaking with daddy and grandpa and Mason even went on the tube with Grandpa. We ate lots of food and took part in many activities (running up the mountain, kayaking, water skiing and walking up the huge hill back to the house because the tram was broken), it was our own little boot camp. Don't get me wrong, we did have some drinks to celebrate the 4th. We had a blast!

Miss Priss even came down to the dock a few times and got to play in her BIG playpin (the boat)
Mason and Grandpa went for a ride around the lake and gathered flowers for all the ladies
Chris and Buie followed Grandpa and Mason

Can't you tell she just loved having that life vest on!

Finally Mason got to go on the boat! He asked all day!
Look......mommy got up on skis!
Look at daddy making it look so easy!

Or not! No, he was trying to drop a ski and had a spill.
Even Grandpa did it. Mason told him that if he went then he would go after him. So the pressure was on and Grandpa got up.

Well, Mason could ski, because we did have little ones for him, but he and Grandpa went tubing. He was so brave!
Look at the size of those sparklers!
Heading out to go see fireworks on the lake. Buie said this was his favorite part.

11 Months old

Look who's walking......and has a black eye. I wish I could put her in a bubble to protect her, but I just keep saying it will make her tough. She did that on one of her maiden voyages. She stood up from a squat and took 5 steps and Chris and I both thought she was at her destination, but she was just for enough away to not make and hit her cheek on the side of the train table. Oh well, what can you do?
