Soggy Steeplechase

Yes, we were some of the few that braved the storm to go to Steeplechase. It was fun and very memorable with Grandpa, Maizie, Frances, Olivia, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Ashley. The kids had a blast and didn't seem to care that they were soaking wet. Oh if it had been not raining, what fun they could have had, but they didn't know they difference. Aunt Ashley took them all around to do pony rides and see all kinds of fun things. She was a Saint!

Mason had his first musical performance on Friday at school. It was so cute and wish I had told all family members about it, but I had no idea what to expect. Of course I didn't take the video camera either, but I did have my camera. So I captured a few pictures that don't even begin to tell the story. The sound of their little voices and the motions to go along with it, had me in tears. (surprise) I will better prepared next year for Buie's.

STILL working on it......
Some days are better than others, well actually most days are not fun when it's time to try and poop. This smile above is pretty fake....there were tears under all that. I am open for suggestions if you have any methods that work/worked for you. I am over it, but Chris is the one that has the patience. I think the few times Buie pooped on the potty, Chris helped him and it usually takes about 30 minutes.
Enough of the potty talk, Mason and Buie had field day today at school. Mason got to do more than Buie did, but that comes with their ages. Buie only got to jump in the bouncy house and Mason got to do races and 3 different bouncy things. As you can see in some of the pictures, Mason worships a boy in his class named Dane. Wants fast shoes like Dane, wants to play baseball, because Dane does, wants Dane to come over and play, names Dane when we talk about people we love (which is usually our extended family and Wade and Dane). It's cute, but I wonder if Dane ever talks about Mason and if he does it's not about this annoying kid at school named Mason! (my fear)

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY BUIE!!

Sorry I have not posted in a while, but things have been crazy busy since Easter. I did a monogram show in D.C., then celebrated my birthday and then Buie's birthday. I will post pics and what we have been up to lately very soon. Above is the only picture I have taken since Easter and it is Buie getting ready for his Monster birthday party.

Easter was loads of fun this year. In the past, both boys were scared in the beginning, but by the time we hit our last hunt, they had the routine down. Well, this year was a different story, Mason was ready to hit the ground running and that he did. For some reason right now , everything is a race for Mason, so hunting eggs was right up his alley. At the end of the day (well, one for school, one in Athens, one at Church, one and Grandpa and Maizie's, one at Grandma's, and one at Granny's) they had more candy than they did at Halloween!!! They have been on a sugar high for the whole week. Thank God for the money that was in some of the eggs, so it wasn't all candy. They were just as excited to find money as they were to get candy.
We had a busy weekend going to all the different houses, but had tons of fun too. Thanks everyone!
