Today was a monumental day in the Crawford family! January 30th!
This was the second day we tried to get the boys to ride their bikes without the training wheels. The first day went down as one I would like to forget, with LOTS of tears and “I can’t do this”! Then there was today, where somewhere they both had lots of confidence that I have not seen. They a few good runs down the bottom half of our driveway on what looked like a balance bike. Chris not only took off the training wheels, but he took off the pedals too so they did not get in the way of the boys’ legs and their feet when they were learning their balance. Such a great idea and gave the boys lots of confidence knowing they could hold their feet barely off the ground as they were gliding down the drive so they could stop at any point in time.
Even Celie wanted to ride her “bike” in which she just started to actually pedal herself instead of always being pushed!

Looking good, slow and steady.....

.....a little wobbly....
....and crash! He didn’t have many of these and one of the first things we taught them was how to crash and what you do. Drop the bike and protect yourself!
It didn’t take Mason long once he had his pedals on to take off. He finally listened that it was easier to control when you were going faster than slower. (doesn’t sound right, but try it) So, here is Chris running along side of him and holding on to his shirt and coaching him along the way.
The next time he came by, CHris wasn’t even close to him and Mason was doing it all by himself!!!
Not sure if you can see his grin and how big it was......he was going so fast I could hardly catch a good shot of him! WOW Mason! So proud of you for sticking with it and figuring it out!
Buie even tried it out. He is soooo close to getting it too and he is one and half years younger than Mason. I think he will get it the next time we try. No tears from anyone today, which is HUGE in our family.

On another note (lucky you that I don’t have any pictures of this) Celie had a notorious day as well. She and I went to Target today to pick put some big girl panties that she can wear. Well she tt’d 2 times on the potty and pooped once! Did you hear me? Well, she actually had gone tt before on the potty, but would never go poop, but Chris caught her making faces and he ran her to the potty and sure enough, she did it! We shall see if this continues or if it was a fluke. I’d like to think that she is starting to “get” it, but that could just be that girls are better than boys and start doing things earlier :) It was a BIG day at the Crawford house today, proud of all my babies growing so big!

Monster Jam 2012
Well, we “had” to go back this year since the boys loved it so much last year.
We got pit passes this year and decided to take the boys down to the track and see the truck up close so they could see how big they really were. Above is Grave Digger the Legend.
Since the show last year, we have a small collection of Monster trucks, so the boys knew who some of the trucks were and this one they knew was El Toro Loco!
Captain America was super cool!
Now this was “the” monster truck of all monster trucks! Grave Digger has made this event what it is and he delivers a good show for the fans that’s for sure.
Not sure what Buie saw in the picture, but something super cool. We ended up putting them on our shoulders, because it was so crowded and they could not see anything. People stood in long lines to get their picture with the driver and the trucks. We were not there for that!
Parker and Crawford went with us this year and Crawford said it was the best day ever!
Can you tell they were getting over it pretty quickly?
Crawford brought his own earplugs/headphones, but the box we were in thanks to Mom had some for everyone. You wanted to wear them....it was loud!
 Are you ready?
 Granny and her boys
Captain America’s turn to jump as high as he could and do as many tricks in a couple of minutes.
Woohoo! Yes we were cheering for the trucks that had the best jumps, flips and especially the ones that landed back on their tires. Our inner redneck came out this night and it was fun, because we looked good! You should have seen some of the people at this event!
This is wear Captain Americas truck died! Up on top!
The picture does not do it justice (I do not have any photography skills), but can you see how high in the air Grave Digger is? His point is to total his car in the process and that he did and the crowd went crazy over him and ended up winning the whole thing. (I am sure you wonder how you win? You will just have to go one year to find out for yourself!) We may even take Celie next year, they had a girl trunk, MADUSA! Thanks Granny!

Just an ordinary night in our house!
This was not taken at Halloween, this was taken the other night. They just love to dress up! Celie, had on Buie’s football pants, a pirate hat and her super cape on. Mason had his Spider Monkey costume and Buie had his football helmet, super cape, spider glove and robin’s arm guard. Normal right?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We rang in the new year with some of our family at my dad’s house, while my sweet mom watched all 3 of my kids (and all 3 of my brother’s kids), so we didn’t have to worry about driving after partying. Thanks mom! We ate cooked dinner with both my brother’s and their wives, my step brother and his wife and my dad and Pam. We had an awesome meal and carried the festivities out back to their fireplace. Just before the clock struck 12, some of our friends came over to help ring in the new year!

Jason, obviously before he had a lot to drink!

Andrew "trying" to get the ring on the hook.

Oh, he did it!

Now dad HAD to practice to make sure he could do it too!

Hunter and Hudson got to stay up and ring in the new year, but without the drinks!

Grandpa getting a little loud and happy!

Kriya and some man in a furry coat, oh that’s Beau.

Me, Amanda and Kriya I’m sure laughing at something funny that Beau said.

Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!!

They woke up ready to go. Mason and Buie dressed themselves before they came in our room and then we had to wake up Miss Priss.
L-E-G-O's oh my! Fun, but lots of little pieces to pick up.
Snow White.......Celie's favorite.
Just what Buie wanted......UGA helmet, jersey, bonus pants and a football tee.
Granny spent the night with us so she got to watch the kids go through their presents in no time at all. They are getting use to Christmas and ALL the gifts that they get from everyone and now say, "next"! Really? I thought I was going to ring a neck.

Then it was off to Grandpa and ZZ's....

Not sure what kind of face this was, but happy for sure!
Grandpa helping Celie put on her new boots.
Santa Buie got a fun remote control Star Wars thing!

.....Then to Grandma's for yummy lunch and a few presents.

Kids table, Celie was very excited to be sitting with the other kids instead of her high chair.
Really? 6-4-5 and ds-ds-ipad? What is going on?
Julie and her girls
Not sure why my kids had any gift to open, because this year we asked the grandparents not to give the kids a bunch of toys but to instead donate money towards a new jungle gym/fort/tree house thing. So my dad and Chris built it during all the weekends in December and the kids loved it and are still loving it.
