Buie Won STATE
(in wrestling)
Holy smokes! I can't even express how proud I am of Buie! He stuck with it this season even when he really didn't want to. Since he wasn't super thrilled with wrestling this year, we only signed him up for 2 tournaments. We did highly encourage bribe him do wrestling this year since he would be on the older end of his age bracket. I know it's not  "fun" sport, but he is really good at it (and he doesn't even know it) and if he were to have chance at winning state one year, THIS was the year. He listened to us and worked hard at the practices he did go to. Well, it all paid off and he won all of his matches at qualifying and then his 4 matches at State.

Chris, Mason and Buie all went down to Perry, GA the night before the tournament and Dad, Mom and I drove down the morning of. (I didn't not eat ALL day!)

Match #1 he won by pinning the kid
Finally a smile! ( It didn't last long, knowing he had more matches)
He won match #2 by a pin. (He threw up before this match, he was so nervous)
He even took a nap on his best buddy (Grandpa) in between matches.
3rd match  he won by technical points. ( he really pinned the kid if you ask me)
A little play time with Celie, Mason and Grandpa.
Championship match vs. Rocky(Seriously, that's the kids name)
He has wrestled this kid a handful of times over the last 2 years and Buie had never lost to him.
You never know what can happen in a split second, but thank God, Buie was smart and listened to Grandpa and he ended up winning 4-0!!!!
These boys all put in a LOT of hours at the nasty wrestling gyms!
This picture is worth all of the heartache. Only, one man can stand at the top of the podium!
He wrestled in the 89lb weight class for 8 and under and he only weighed 84, so you can see some of the larger kids he had to go up against.
I know my dad is super proud of Buie. He believed in him the whole time!
This is Buie's other coach, Donovan from Level Up Wrestling Center.
WAY. TO. GO. BUIE!!!!!
After a celebratory dinner at Fuji Hana, we came home to a decorated house!
This was Buie's send off from all the neighborhood kids.

She even put on fake eyelashes! Y'all, I'm in trouble!
 Cute Blackland Ridge girls.

The girls were so excited to dress up and get their flowers from their dates.
 Dads and daughters
Had to get in a silly picture
Celie LOVES her Daddy like no other!
A little Mexican dinner with Chloe after the dance!

Celie turns 6!!!!!
Can’t believe my baby is 6 already, wow!!
If you know Celie at all, you know her behavior is sub par to say the least. Well, she “lost” her birthday party at some point in the late spring. I was bound to make a point and really not let her have a “party”. All of my friends said I couldn’t do that, that she needed a party. So, I let her earn a sleepover back, but not a full fledged party. She was very happy to earn it back, not even sure how many consecutive hours she behaved well to get that back, but I caved and let her have 4 friends spend the night, so “it was not that big a deal!”

Back to school
2015-2016
I can’t believe that the kids are back in school, but at the same time, I am so ready to get back to a routine. Don’t get me wrong, I HATE waking up early, but I am happy to have my day back and get some things done and exercise. For some reason, I have been talked into signing up for a half marathon on November in Savannah, so training has begun! Ugh!
Mason has Ms. Lacher/Celie has Ms. Howard/Buie has Ms. Ackerman
Boss & LuLu love to go to the bus stop
 Maysie (K), Mary (1st), Celie (1st), Molly (1st)
Glad they were so happy the first day back. (it’s really because a boy tried to photo bomb the picture and he fell over some rocks and my kids couldn’t contain themselves)
Most of the Backland Ridge kids that go to Sope Creek

such a big girl getting on the bus
 bye, bye, waves Celie

Somerset swim team 2015
Well, not exactly all of my kids did it. I mean I paid for all of them to do it, but Celie only did the practice meet. She kicked and cried her way out of nay race she was signed up for. ( I was not happy)
 Maysie, Celie & Emmaline
Of course the kids always wanted their backs decorated!
Inevitably there was always a rain delay! The boys did great this year, but I don’t think swimming is Celie’s sport.

Celie had her dance recital down at Georgia Tech's Ferst Center. It was an amazing performance by all the dancers, but especially the company dancers. Amazing what these young kids can do.

Mother’s Day Home run!
Both boys had a baseball game on Mother’s Day and they both won! Buie put the cherry on top with an over the fence home run. It was his first one ever and he was soooo excited! It made for a great Mother’s Day, proud momma!
