Field trip to Cherokee YMCA
I volunteered to help chaperone Mason's class on their first field trip last week, I am sure the first of many. We went to the Cherokee YMCA to see a day in the life of a Pilgrim. They got to see what kind of "toys" the kids played with and then they got to make one. Well, actually they gave them a wooden top and the kids got to color it. Then they saw how important apples are they got to taste apple cider. After that we went on a tractor ride through the grounds and each kid got to pick a pumpkin and take it home. The last rotation was to see how they made butter which I did not get to go to since I had to go set up lunch, but they got to see them make it and then taste it. It was a very cute field trip and we were lucky to have had a gorgeous day.
Mason, 2 of his buddies, Ian and Carl. BTW, both of those little boys are on his soccer team too.
Here's his whole class with their pumpkins.
Mason, watching his top spin after he colored it.
It was not just his class, but the whole Kindergarten from Sope Creek.

Johnny Appleseed was there to lead the way. Very cute!
