We had a busy day yesterday......2 birthday parties and a lot of football games to watch including the dawgs. Who scared the fool out of us, but thank the Lord they pulled it out. The first birthday party was Maryann and Betsy Beach. It was at a playground and had a pinata. The boys had fun playing and trying to hit the pinata. Mason hit it first try and Buie took 3 swings and then finally hit it. Once they gathered their candy, Mason was no longer interested in playing......he wanted to eat his candy. Once we left there with 2 sweating kids, we went to the other birthday party at Southern Prep (where Buie had his party). The boys all went in to play while I fed Celie in the car for a little bit. When all that was said and done, it was time to go home, because Granny was coming over to pick up the boys to go play at her house for a few hours. I must tell you want Buie did before they left. So Chris and I were watching t.v. and Buie asked what we were watching and Chris said "football". Buie then said "gooooo jackets......sting 'em"! We all died laughing, which only made matters worse and started saying it over and over and over again. Chris was like "Buie, say goooo dawgs.....sic'em". Buie would not give in. His Grandpa should be very proud! At least the dawgs won yesterday. Go Dawgs!!

Maryann hitting the pinata as hard as she could, so all the candy could fall out....

Mason and Buie weren't sure what to do and they each grabbed ONE piece of candy until Chris told them they could grab lots!

They were so excited about the candy they "found".

So the first song you hear describes me right now in my life. I know it is strange, but I heard it last year during the Olympics and fell in love with it. Chris's song is the Van Morrison song and if you ever get down to the Scooby theme song......well that is for Mason and Buie. Chris sings it every night to Mason and Buie still gets twinkle twinkle.
Nothing very exciting going on today, but I must tell you what Buie did this morning. He was playing great with Mason this morning until he noticed I was feeding his favorite "toy" and he came to sit right next to/on me while I tried to feed Celie. Then he found a bottle of bubbles in the laundry room and opened it up and poured the whole things out right on the floor. Thank God it was on hardwoods, but still! So then he and Mason were "going" to color on coloring books, until I heard Mason telling Buie to stop coloring on the floor. SO I looked down and he was coloring on the carpet, lovely! Poor Mason was being so sweet and good by coloring and minding his own business and Buie was crawling all over him, pulling out his pages he was working on and scribbling all over the pages Mason was coloring. What a pain in the a** he was being. I believe he really gets that I can do nothing about his bad behavior while I am feeding Celie. Not sure what I am going to do about that and I guess it's a good thing we took the house off the market with Mr. Destructo back. I love him to pieces, but what am I going to do with him? Any takers? Well I did try and get them outside for a bit to wear them out. We went for a walk up the street and then I let them play out back while they had watermelon. I learned my lesson.......let Buie make the mess outside, not inside. Oh, now I get it, if I could only fence him in out there. Just kidding!

They LOVE the garbage truck and run out to watch it whenever they can.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CELIE
Well, Celie is one month old today and time is flying by. I am trying to capture every moment, as I do not want her to grow up. I do want her to sleep through the night however. With all the activities going on with the boys, I feel as though I do not get the camera out enough to take pictures. I will try to do better and make a point of stopping to slow down and capture the innocence of a newborn. So for her birthday, we went to my Granny's house to eat lunch. My brother and his girls came over as well and it was crazy as usual. The had a blast playing duck, duck, goose and playing down in the garden. Such fun things for them to do over there and a great way to wear them out! That wraps up our busy weekend, enjoy the pictures below.

Mason and Buie behaving at church???

Everyone's paying attention.....

......not for long. back to waht they were doing.

Well, there is proof that they went to church, but I still uncertain as to how they behaved. Looks like they took up a whole pew all to themselves. I asked both the boys, separately, if they went to church and they both said "no". So, I am not sure they really participated. At least they went, that is more than Chris and I can say. We will go back one day, when it gets a little easier. After church and a little Waffle House, we picked up the boys and went to Grandma's for a little bit, until Granny came and picked the boys up. I think they have had fun at all the different places they have been this weekend. I haven't heard any complaints yet.

Mason and Buie with the Ramblin Wreck

Buie taking a turn driving

Mason's turn to drive

Well, at least one team did well yesterday. Mason and Buie did a good job with Grandpa and Maizie cheering on Georgia Tech. Sounds like they were good (at least that is what they are telling me), I am not sure I believe it or not. They ate hotdogs, Buie watched some of the game and Mason loved looking for Buzz and enjoyed some cotton candy. Then they came home to play with Wade and watch the Georgia Bulldogs lose. They were so cute playing with a little guy. Wade made them look so big and old, which of course makes me a little sad. What doesn't make me sad these days?? I hate to see my kids growing up.......I want them to stay just the way they are. Oh well....
They are at church right now (hopefully saying some prayers for everyone) and then to Waffle House. Off to Grandma's house from there and then Granny's.......

Chris trying to "manage" the boys after bath

Celie caught by the bright light of the flash

Mason and Buie, as you can tell from the picture above, are wilder than ever. Our household is crazy to say the least. Enter at your own risk! Celie is usually great during the day and then fussy from dinner until midnight. She seems a little harder than the boys if I can remember correctly. I can't rely on my memory anymore, fewer and fewer brain cells are being used every year.
It is going to be a busy weekend.....Mason and Buie are going to the Georgia Tech football game tomorrow with my dad and Pam( good luck to them) and then they are spending the night with them since Chris is going to the Alabama game and I do not think I can handle all 3 of my children for dinner , bath and bed all alone. Maybe one day! Oh and of course we will be cheering the dawgs on too. Then after they go to church Sunday with Grandpa and Maizie, Chris and I will get them and go visit uncle Tray for a little bit, until my mom picks them up to have them spend the night with her, while we attempt to go to a party with Celie. (not sure how that is going to work out) And on Monday we are going to my Grandmother's for lunch with my brother and his twin girls. Whew, what a weekend and it hasn't even started yet. Well, really it is Mason and Buie that have the busy schedule!

Here is a picture of Mason in all his soccer gear.

Last weekend we were out of our house for the last time......we took it off the market. Thank God!! That was getting really hard to keep it clean and round the troops up and get everyone out and happy and fed all at the same time, at the drop of a hat. So enough with that, but glad it is over and now we don't have to bombard our families all day any more. So, on Saturday Chris and my dad took the boys to go get Mason all his soccer gear he needs to start soccer this fall. His games start in about 3 weeks and the name of his team is the "Cookie Monsters". And his twin girl cousins are going to be on his team. I think this is all going to be so funny to watch and I am sure the girls will love playing more than Mason will. I am prepared for him to be attached (and crying) to my leg. We have been trying to get Mason excited to play and try kicking with him in the house, but Buie loves it more than he does. Oh well, we shall see.

Daddy bringing the boys to school

Kriya took this great picture of 2 "excited" boys going to their 1st day of school

This was before they really knew where they were going.......

First Day of School 2009

Well the first day of school didn't go as smooth as we had hoped. Buie cried of course and Mason was being a "pill" as Chris put it. Sounded like he would not do anything Chris asked him to do. I am sure Ms. Mary Ann (his teacher) will whip him into shape, I hear she is great. Buie had his paci in his pocket for security whenever he needed it. Ms. Kay said he pulled out a couple of times and would then put it back in his pocket. All too soon, Celie and I had to pack up and go pick up the boys, which was an adventure. Mason's class is at the other end of the school and I have to get there before they take them off to carpool. Well me and my big stroller can't make it thru the crowds very quickly. I will have to plan it a little better next time and get there super early. Celie was an angel and the boys were very glad to see me!
